Course objectives:

Through workshops, discussions and role playing, attendees will prepare for, conduct, and report on an integrated audit against the ISO 14001 and ISO 9001 standards. Course participants will also learn how to develop an effective integrated audit program, establish or improve an integrated audit system using the existing EMS or QMS internal audit system, and plan and conduct balanced integrated audits. The integrated audit will be conducted to meet the requirements of the auditing guideline, ISO 19011

Course instructors are experienced EMS/QMS auditors, many of whom have conducted ISO 14001, ISO 9001, and integrated registration audits for registrars.

Course Contents:

·         Interpreting and auditing the ISO 14001 requirements

·         Interpreting and auditing the ISO 9001 requirements

·         Conducting an audit to meet the requirements of ISO 19011

·         Selecting audit team members who are well-qualified and effective

·         Creating an integrated audit plan that balances the requirements of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001

·         Creating an integrated audit checklist that will provide a balanced, effective tool for conducting the audit

·         Focus integrated audits on what is important to the business

·         Writing an effective integrated audit summary report in a way that adds value for the auditees

·         Verify the completeness and effectiveness of corrective actions taken by an organization, without limiting or interfering in their business decisions

·         Communicate audit results effectively to management to aid in business improvement
